The Northwest Fire Systems Help Center provides you with the needed instructions to create, access, and manage your File Sharing Profile. To view instructions, please select a topic from our Table of Contents located to your right. If you need further assistance, please contact Northwest Fire Systems at (206) 772-7502.
We would like to thank you for your interest in establishing a file sharing account with Northwest Fire Systems.
User Registration
Need help creating a profile? The following instructions demonstrate how a user can setup an account for the File Sharing Center:
- Go to the Client Login page
- Find "New User? Sign up here" and click on "Sign up here"
- You will be redirected to the Registration page
- Completely fill out all fields in the form under "Sign Up" and then click on the "Sign Up" button.
- If you enter any invalid information, you will receive an error message. Make the necessary changes and try again.
- If the form has been successfully completed, you will receive a message that thanks you for creating a profile
- An email will be sent to the address supplied in the email field. If our Administrators approve your account, you will receive a second email informing you that your profile is now accessible.
Account Login
Having trouble logging into your account? We provide detail instruction on how to access your profile. Account login procedures:
- Go to the Client Login page
- Underneath "Client Login" enter you username in the "username field" and your password in the "password field" and click "Login"
- If you enter either an invalid username, password, or the password fails to match the username on file, an error message will be displayed. Make the necessary changes and try again.
- If you fail to remember your username please visit Username Assistance page
- If your fail to remember your password please visit the Password Assistance page
- Once the correct username and password have been entered, you will be directed to your account's home page
Username Assistance
You can retrieve your profile's username by visiting the username assistance page. Follow these instructions and we will send you an email containing your username:
- Go to the Client Login page
- Under "Technical Assistance", click the link for the Username Assistance page
- Enter your email address used when creating your profile and click "Submit"
- An email will be sent to that address containing your "username"
- If you enter either an invalid or incorrect email address you will receive an error message. Make the necessary changes and try again.
- Contact Northwest Fire Systems if you are unable to remember or access the email address used when registering
Password Assistance
You can retrieve your profile's password by visiting the password assistance page. Follow these instructions and we will send you an email containing your password:
- Go to the Client Login page
- Under "Technical Assistance", click the link for the Password Assistance page
- Enter your username in the "username field" and click "Next"
- If you enter a correct username you will be directed to your account's "Security Question" otherwise you will receive an error message
- If you fail to remember your username visit our Username Assistance page
- After receiving your account's "Security Question", enter the answer in the text field and click "Next"
- For security reasons, you will need to contact Northwest Fire Systems to retrieve any "Security Answers" that you fail to remember
Uploading Files
The following instructions demonstrate how user's can upload files to their profiles:
- Go to the Client Login page and login into your account using your "username" and "password"
- Under "File Uploads" located to the right of the page, click on the "Browse" button
- Select the file you wish to upload to your profile
- The file has to be either a pdf, zip, dwg, jpg, or tif file otherwise you will receive an error message when you click the "Upload File" button
- Choose your file's destination by either creating a New Folder, selecting an Existing Folder or choosing None. If you choose "none", the file will be saved to your main directory. If you select an "Existing Folder", the file will be uploaded to that specified directory. Finally, if check the "New folder" box, enter the new directory's name in the text field provided.
- Once you have selected a file and a directory location, click the "Upload File" button and the file will be added to your profile
Open or Viewing a File
To open or view a file that has been uploaded to your profile, please follow the provided instructions:
- Identify the file that you wish to view
- Under the "Open" column click the "floppy disk" image in the same row as the file name you wish to open
- You will either be directed to the file or a command window will display with an option to either open or save the file. If you encounter the command window, select "Open" to view the file.
Downloading a File
Follow these instructions to download a file from your account:
- Identify the file that you wish to download
- Under the "Open" column click the "floppy disk" image in the same row as the file name you wish to download
- If you are directed to the file automatically, you will have to save the file manually. For images right click on the image and select "Save As". For PDF files select "File" located at the top of the page and then click "Save As"
- If you are NOT directed to the file and a command window appears. Click "Save As" to save the file to your computer.
Delete Files
In order to delete a file, use the instructions provided below:
- Identify the file that you wish to delete
- Under the "Delete" column click the red "X" image in the same row as the File Name you wish to delete
- You will be directed to the Delete File page that verifies that you want to delete a particular file. If you do not wish to delete the file use your browser's back arrow to direct you back to the previous page.
- Verify that it is the correct account by entering your password. If you enter the incorrect password you will be prompted to supply the correct password for the user's account.
- Click the "Delete" button to remove the file
